This striking blue glass and resin coffee table was commissioned by a local sawmill. The owner was looking to showpiece some of their lovely local hardwoods. This was the first in an ongoing order to supply high end pieces for resale. Using their very locally sourced Devon oak we matched epoxy resin detailing in the knots with a toughened glass ‘river’, the idea being to utilise these natural features in the wood and create a usable piece of art. To finish the look we asked a local metal fabricator to make up a steel frame. We think its a winner!
